Terence Glen Polley passed away peacefully at home, lovingly surrounded by his family on September 15, 2024. Terry is survived by his wife Colleen (nee Semlitch), sons Scott (Caroline), Jamie (Jessica) and daughter Jennifer, grandchildren Keegan, Austin, Cassidy and Shane, brothers Jim, Francis, Wayne and Rick and predeceased, by his parents John and Helen. For those that knew Terry know that he was resilient, determined and brave whilst also being equally kind, gentle and loving. However, perhaps his most endearing quality was his witty sense of humour that would often leave the room in stitches. He lived every day for his family and took his role as confidante, supporter and best friend to Colleen, Scott, Jamie and Jenn as his most important job in life. Terry will be tremendously missed by Colleen and the kids, grandkids, and all extended family and friends. Facing declining health, Terry chose to leave the material world on his terms with his heart full of love and gratitude fully supported by his family. Friends may call at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St., E., Cobourg on Friday September 20th from 6-8 pm and Saturday September 21st from 1-2 pm, followed by a memorial service at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, Terry wishes for donations to be made to Stuff a Stocking for Seniors Northumberland. E-transfer can be sent to tmdcwf@gmail.com. Cheques made payable to Vicki Davis Charities (not a registered charity – no receipts given).
