Edward “Ed” Schneider passed away peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Friday, August 23rd, 2024, at 79 years of age. Son of the late Elfriede (nee Schneider) Rauh and Gerhard Rauh and beloved husband of Anne Schneider (nee Menard). Dear father of Siegfried Schneider and Eric Schneider. Cherished grandfather of Hannah and Emily. He will also be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, family and friends. He moved to the Cobourg area one year later, where he found the love of his life, Anne. They got married soon after that, raised a family and built a long and happy life together. Cremation with a Memorial Celebration of Life Visitation at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Saturday, September 7th from 12:30-3:30pm with Parish Prayers at 3:30pm. I am very sorry Anne, to hear of Eds' passing, I hadn't seen him for a while. We were good friends, he was a good machinist and mechanic. He was liked by everyone who knew him. RIP Edward Schneider.

Anne and family, we are so sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
Dear Anne and Siegried and Eric and the rest of the Schneider family, I offer my sincere condolences on Eddie's passing. We lived across the road from Eddie when he first came to Canada and I got to know him when I was about 12 and he would have been about 27. I'm afraid I had lost touch with him in recent years since you moved away from Danforth Road. But I remember Eddie helping me out of a jam on more than one occasion. I will always remember his calm and peaceful nature.
