Wayne Allan Till

November 23, 1961 - July 15, 2024

It is with heavy hearts the family of Wayne Allan Till announce his unexpected passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, Newfoundland on July 15, 2024. Wayne passed surrounded in love, with his best-friend and wife of 37 years by his side. He will be deeply missed by Lorri (nee: Hunt) Till. They shared an incredible life together raising their two sons Roger and Kevin (Abby) Till. Wayne is the son of the pre-deceased Marion and Rodger Till. He will be deeply missed by his brother James (Rosa) Till. As well as Danny Madden and Dawn Strickland (Murray and the boys). Loved son-in-law to Leslie and Vivian Hunt as well as brother-in-law to Mary-Lou (Frank), and Norm. Loved uncle to Joe (Nadine) Naccarato, Ashley (Chris) Walton, Aaron Till, Adam Till and Amelia (Dustin Parsons) Till. As well as the best great-uncle to Zippora, Benjamin, Charlotte, and Violet.

Wayne was a man of few words, but what he didn’t say, he showed through his love of family. He will be greatly missed by so many of his friends. Wayne and Lorri raised their sons in Bowmanville, Ontario before moving to Hampton, Ontario for the past decade. Wayne began his career with the Region of Durham in May 1997, where he dedicated many years of service. Wayne led an active and adventurous life, enjoying the outdoors through fishing, camping, and four-wheeling. He was passionate about road trips to family and friend’s cottages and visiting Florida, and loved spending weekends at the trailer or music festivals. His favorite pastimes included Nut Nights, Thirsty Thursdays, and coffee visits with friends. Wayne always seemed to know everyone in town and had so much knowledge and experiences to share with anyone who listened. Family gatherings were a source of great joy for him, where he loved to share laughter and create lasting memories. A highlight of his life was realizing his final wish to visit Newfoundland, an experience he treasured deeply with Lorri by his side.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM in the upstairs at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 178, 109 King St E, Bowmanville, Ontario L1C 1K8. A sharing of memories will take place at 1:30PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Pamela Shane - August 6, 2024

I'm so sorry to hear this news, my thoughts and prayers go out to Lori and their boys. My Dad Wilmot Shane was like a father to Wayne & James. Since lossing their own father at an early age. Wayne was loved by many, he was a quiet person. He'd rather stay in the back ground, rather being in the spot light. His love for Lori is the greatest love story, if you seen Lori you would always see Wayne. Fly high Wayne, your soul is free. Free to sore amoung the angels. You'll always be missed and always be remembered .
