Peacefully at The Bridge Hospice, Warkworth on Sunday July 28th, 2024 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Lois McQuoid (nee Duncan) and the late Betty Hamilton May. Loving father of Anna Marie Low and Fred McQuoid. Dear brother of Wayne McQuoid, Dennis McQuoid and the late Larry McQuoid. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and extended family. Ron was a great story teller and everyone will miss his great stories. Family and friends are to a visitation from 10-11 am on Saturday August 10th at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St., E., Cobourg, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Cremation with interment in Warkworth Cemetery. If desired donations may be made The Bridge Hospice, Warkworth, Easter Seals Ontario (Camp Merrywood) or a charity of your choice.

My Thain family were neighbours to the McQuoids on the 2nd Concession for many years. Our condolences to his brothers Wayne and Dennis, and children Anna Marie and Fred. Cherish the happy memories together at this difficult time.

Koni & Helen wish to send their condolences to Ron & family. I spoke to Ron on his 90th Birthday was happy to hear his voice and laughing about turning 90 years old. We wish to thank his Care Giver Bonnie for at least 5 years of personal care. Caring and being with him throwout his battle of cancer. Bonnie was with Ron 24-7. God bless

I have lots of good memories about Uncle Ron....his laugh, his cigars when we were young, how he always made us laugh with his silliness. He had a strong sense of family, which extended out to us all. You will be missed.
