Peacefully in Palliative Care at Northumberland Hospital, Cobourg, on 12 June 2024, Alfred George Slater at 91 years of age. Cherished Husband of 69 years to Muriel Slater (nee Dray). Loving Father of Jeannette (Dale) and Cliff (Carol). Loving grandfather of Charlotte (Rich) and Cameron (Kayleigh). Beloved brother-in-law and ‘Uncle Chunkie’ to the Reeve, Wolf and Floyd families. Cremation with future interment in U.K. Honouring his wishes there will be no funeral. Those wishing may make a memorial donation to Northumberland Hills Hospital, Golden Plough Lodge, the Alzheimer's Society - dementia research or a charity of their choosing.
The world has become a sadder place on the loss of our dear Uncle Chunky. Always will remember his big smile and kind heart. Our love and thoughts are with you at this sad time. Take care xxxx

Hopefully you can take solace in knowing that "Uncle Chunk" lived a very full life, with the love of his life. And, was known as a very kind and gentle giant. (Although as teens, I suspect C. and J. challenged that gentle demeanor. lol) As I have said to you before, I can still hear his hearty laugh. We should all be blessed with such an epitaph.
