Beverley “Bev” Croft (Jackson) of Cobourg, Ontario, passed away peacefully in her 90th year on June 4, 2024, at Streamway Villa in Cobourg. At Bev’s side when she entered into rest was her husband of 63 years, Robert James “Bob” Croft, who also resides at Streamway Villa. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Bev is survived by Bob, her sons David (Flavia) Croft of Aurora, Ontario, and Brian (Jacqueline) Croft of Stockton, California, 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by son Paul in March, 2017.
Bev was born in Cobourg on April 16, 1935, to Reginald and Ella Jackson, and lived most of her life in Cobourg, Colborne and Campbellford. In her early life, Bev was a schoolteacher and secretary before adopting the role of homemaker for her family.
At this time, no formal funeral service is planned. The family will honour Bev’s desire to be cremated and inurned close to son Paul at Union Cemetery in Cobourg at a later date.

I was sad to hear of Bev’s passing. Bev was in our family’s life as a I was growing up. She was our babysitter until we were in our teen years - then she used to come and stay while my parents were away in the summer. In fact she and Bob became engaged while she was staying at our house. My sympathy to you Bob as you remain behind. Love, Shirley.

Bill and I are saddened to hear of Bev's passing. We have many fond memories of The Croft Family when they were neighbours on Elgin St. in Colborne. The children played together, went to school together , and were on sports teams together. A great mom and an excellent neighbour. May she rest in peace knowing she left behind memories of kindness and affection for her family and those of us her had the pleasure of knowing her.
