Peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg, in her 52nd year. Beloved fiancée of Devon Nicholson. Loving mother of Amanda, Andrea “Andi” (Steve Smith) Chamberlain, Sara “Sar Bear” Cunningham and Samantha “Sami Jo” (Jordan Nixon) Cunningham. Cherished grandmother of Serenity “Renny” Cunningham. Dear daughter of George and the late Barbara (nee Deseure) Hockney. Sister of Dennis Hockney and David (Heather) Hockney. Debbie will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and her many, many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, Colborne, followed by a service in the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Grafton. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

My dear friend debbie..38 years ago we met..u were my best friend from that day on. Inseparatable we were..with each other alot for quite some time. As we get older we sometimes grow apart..reuniting with u years ago was like no days had passed. My feelings of love for u were still there..we were close once again. We will b close for eternity..u now live in my heart. Till we meet again Debbie.. rip xo

It is very hard letting go to such a wonderful person. Her smile lit up a room. She had a heart that loved to the fullest. debbie i will miss you terribly you were a very unique and special person.whom i will never forget. you were like the daughter i never had . god has very special angel in heven with him you fought one of the bravest fights i have ever seen . now rest in peace god decided he need you more than we did and he was probibly right.
