Dear Donna and Mary Ann: I am so sorry to hear of your dear Dad's passing. John and I enjoyed going out for dinner with your Mom and Dad. Your Dad kept in touch with me since John's passing in September. He was a very kind and friendly person. You girls will miss your Dad forever as well as your Mom you will have so many good memories that never go away. Sadly I was unable to attend the Celebration Of Life because of a frig delivery. Thinking of you both. Sincerely Marlene Mason

Don was a great guy to work with at GM. We were honoured to have Don & Brenda attend our wedding and visit with them at their Oshawa home. Over the years we lost track of each other until we bought in east Cobourg. With them only a few blocks away, we enjoyed many impromptu visits. Don was always popping by in his traverse or on his electric bike! His smile and chats will be greatly missed!
Condolences to the families of Don and Brenda, and to Dianne, a very special friend. Good times of us all - square dancing, lawn bowling, playing cards, short mat bowling, and Probus. Such times filled with laughter will always be remembered. Donna

Iam so sorry for your loss Donna and Mary Ann. Your Dad will be missed dearly in our neighborhood.I remember when we moved to cobourg 22 years ago your parents welcomed us.I really enjoyed talking to your Dad.?
The nicest and kindest man in Cobourg Every conversation was very enjoyable A great gentleman!
News of Don’s passing was a very sad day for me! Because of a 16 years age difference and miles between us growing up, visiting was difficult, especially in days gone by. It was a joy to become re-connected in later life with both Don and Brenda! When my son and husband passed away, Don’s phone calls were so comforting. My daughter Anne and I had a wonderful visit last summer going over the Family Tree. When he told me he and a friend Diane were taking dancing lessons, I enjoyed asking about his progress. We so enjoyed reminiscing and sharing family history. So with a heavy heart, my 5 male cousins are gone and it is just Fay and I left. I Send my sympathy to all the family and I am only a phone call away if you would like to reminisce with a 96 year old cousin! Family and memories are the meaning of life!
I walked by the house the other day, and I felt so very sad that Don and Brenda would no longer be in n my life. I spent so many happy hours with them, while Peter was still alive and after Peter passed away, they were always so wonderful to invite me over. My condolence to Donna and Marianne. He talked so very fondly of both of you and was so very proud.
Fond memories of Don and Brenda. Wonderful neighbors on East House Crescent. With sympathy from, Lauren and Bruce Maclean

Don and Brenda were friends for many years. We miss them both. Condolences to the family.
We met Don and Brenda through the Lakeshore Waves Square Dance Club. They were our "angels" and it was such a delight to learn to dance with them. Our condolences to the family and also thinking of Diane at this time.
I met Don and Brenda at St. Peter’s church through a mutual friend, Eva Brown. I remember how kind they were when Eva’s husband George died. Don was very friendly and always willing to have a chat
Our condolences to the family on Don's passing. He was a wonderful gentleman. We had many conversations while walking our dogs at the campground.
To Don's family....Your dad was a special person to our staff team in the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation office. We ALWAYS enjoyed our visits with him. His upbeat approach to life led to many enjoyable conversations over many years. We appreciated him and are grateful for all his support over the years. We are sorry for your loss.
Thinking about you all as you remember and celebrate the life of a very special man. Don was an incredible neighbour! He was so personable, friendly and caring, and he shared many stories of the early days on East House, square dancing events, trailer travels and family life. We truly enjoyed his company and will miss our friend and neighbour. Tony and Roxanne Hodge
Don was a good friend and I enjoyed every visit he made to the dealership. We had many common interests - and his part of our conversations were always carefully reasoned and covered new and interesting subjects, along with reminiscences of his first meeting, courtship, and marriage to his late wife Brenda, and his career at General Motors. His and Brenda's legacy include a wonderful family who made him very proud.
We are saddened to learn of Don's passing. We enjoyed many hours visiting with Don and Brenda at the park. Our condolences to his family.
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Bruce. We always enjoyed when he visited our clinic. We are thinking of the family and Dianne. Jenna & Tina Connect Hearing
I’m saddened to learn of his passing. He was a smart and kind man, and so tolerant of our shenanigans as teenagers and young adults. May his memory give comfort and guidance to all who loved him, and those of us who were mentored by him.
I was saddened to hear of Don’s passing. Don and Brenda made me so welcome when I moved into my home near them on East House and they were instrumental in organizing our Halloween night dinners for the neighbours each year.
I am so sorry to hear of this news. I had the pleasure of meeting Don when I sold him a vehicle and he was very kind hearted. May he rest in peace.
