Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, our loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, passed away on the 13th day of March 2024. Beloved mother of Lon(Sherry) and Thera. Proud grandmother of Asha, Diesel, Avery and Branden. Cherished great-grandmother of Everlee. Dearly missed by her mother, Theresa. Beloved sister of Deborah (Ben) and the late Wade. Donna’s memory will be held in the heart of her dearest friend, Nancy, her many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Rest in peace sweet Mother. You gave me life and everything I have to be thankful for. Words cannot describe the loss I feel losing you on this day.
You had a beautiful day with friends and family, and then passed away peacefully with Sherry, myself and Thera holding your hand. I stared into your eyes with a loving smile and a couple tears until that last breath. Your hands were held and love shared by all thereafter.
I know in my heart our paths with cross once again and you will guide me once again into an unfamiliar world. Until that time, enjoy your new journey and the company of those that now surround you.
Donna’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the wonderful nurses, staff and volunteers at Northumberland Hills Hospital ICU for the care and compassion they provided during Donna’s stay, as well as to the neighbours and close friends that supported her during her time of need. Nancy, I’m so sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. Although it was many moons ago, I can still hear you two girls laughing.
Hi Nancy, so sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. I remember you both vividly, your friendship, your beautiful smiles, the ring of your shared laughter and your overall amazingness! Thanks for the Memories!! Love & Hugs!
Donna was such a nice lady. She sure did love her pets. She was such a kind person with a big heart.
My heartfelt condolences to Donna’s Family. Donna, Cheryl, Nancy and I were friends during high school. I am shocked to hear of her passing… memories are flooding back of fun times during our teenage and young adulthood friendships. I’m sure Cheryl is welcoming you dear friend… Rest peacefully until we meet again.
I have loved her like a sister for almost as long as I can remember. My sister (Nancy) brought Donna into our lives and we were grateful to know her, laugh and cry with her - mostly laugh. She was loved deeply and will forever be in our hearts. I know our Mom was there to greet her so she is in good hands until we all meet again. With much love I bid Bon Voyage sweet Donna. See you down the road. Love, Joe (aka Linda)
Bill and I wish to offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Donna. We lost touch with Theresa and Donna but have many good memories of get-togethers in the 70s and 80s. Both were lovely, friendly people. We hope you will find comfort and peace in the memories you share.
Terri so sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear of Donna's passing. She was a lovely woman we met when her Grandmother Doris Catherwood lived in our apartment building. Still think of Doris and her family often. She was one of the memorable ones. In a good way. Much love and blessings to the family.
I’m so very sorry for your loss. I knew Donna when we were very young. She was good friends with my brother and cousin, as was Wade. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Terri & family-- Sorry to hear of you loss.
It was a pleasure working with Donna. She had a very positive attitude no matter what she was going thru and always wanted to make others around her happy. She will be greatly missed by so many. Rest easy Donna
Teri, I am so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. May your memories & the Lord guide you through this difficult time. Please accept my deepest condolences to you & all your family.
Thinking of all family members of Donna at this time, and sending our condolences. Donna was our bus driver for 2 years. Every week, she would make us posters to hold at the back of the bus that said “wave” for us to hold up to the people behind us, making our mornings and afternoons so much fun and a bus ride to look forward to. It was like a game. She had prize bins, toys, and everything in between. With only 6 students on our bus, she always found a way to make it fun and for us to all feel special. I remember she came up with a game where we would guess how many green lights we would go through on the way to school, and whoever won, got a prize. An unforgettable & amazing bus driver. We will never forget her and how important she made us feel, even if we only saw her for around an hour a day Monday-Friday. Will always remember her as the best bus driver ever; may she rest in peace.
Lon,Thera and family. I am so sorry for your loss. Donna was a fighter as she came in on her scheduled weekends although feeling unwell. She will be missed by many here at Legion Village as many stopped to chat with her. Donna knew her job and did it well. RIP lovely lady and Blessings to the family.
I am so sorry to hear of Donna's passing. I hope you embrace each other at this difficult time. There are signs around you letting you know she is by your side. Butterflies, birds, a smell of her perfume, finding something you lost, a song, a thought. She is by your side and you can feel her presence.
So sorry to hear this news. Did so enjoy our chats when she was at the village every other weekend. RIP Donna 😘
Dear Thera & Lon, So sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. She was a wonderful lady. I am blessed for having reconnected with her these last couple of years. Who knew I would become her Supervisor. It's crazy how things work out. All my love to you both and your families. Love, Chyvone
