Marjorie passed at Cedarvale Lodge Thursday, February 1, 2024 in her 100th year. She passed peacefully and quietly surrounded in the love of her family. Pre-deceased by her husband Lorne Vance and son David. Loved mother to Lori (Greg) Garland and grandmother Carter Vance, Graeme Garland and Katlyn Garland. Proud great-grandmother to Grayson. The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Cedarvale Lodge for their gentle care of Marjorie. As per Marjorie’s wishes a private family graveside service will be held at Cobourg Union Cemetery in the Spring of 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society Canada.

Mum and Dad loved visiting with Marj , she was so kind and light hearted and always seemed to have a ready smile. She will be missed by many . So sorry to learn of her passing .

My condolences to Marjorie’s family I knew her through St Andrew’s church and we had a mutual friend in Betty Robson who was a neighbour of Marjorie’s for many years. Marjorie was a lovely lady and it was good she was close to family in her latter years.
We are sorry to learn of Marjorie’s passing. She and Lorne were great neighbours to us as a young family when we moved across the street from them on Murray Crescent. She was such a lovely lady and always had time to have street/lawn visits. Condolences to the family.
