Passed away peacefully on January 13th with family by his side. He will be dearly missed by his children Watson (Lou Ann), Elaine (Brad), Aaron (Rose); his grandchildren Amanda, Pam, Mitchell, Brent, Brittany & Karl; and his great grandchildren Cooper, Cassie & Carter. Brother of Wallace and predeceased by his brothers Eugene, Johnny, Gerald, and his sister Leora. Vinald enjoyed the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, whittling and making knife handles. He was a member of the Legion dart league and was a very proud member of the “Sour Toe Club”. He loved to cook, make bread, homemade pickles, and he was happiest when you were at the end of one of his pranks. You left this world peacefully like you wanted and your stories will always live on through your family. A Celebration of Life will be held later on Saturday March 2nd at the Cobourg Legion from 12-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Br.133, Cobourg or the Northumberland Humane Society would be appreciated.
