Godspeed John. Thank you for your kindness, love, and support over the years. Karen
I am SO Sorry to hear the news.....I live in Daytona Beach, Florida & met John about 17 - 20 years ago. He used to stay for the winters at our mutual friend Velta's house. When she passed away he had me look for places for him to stay for two or three months each Winter. As I am a Property Manager. Also, we are both long-time members of AA. We would see each other at meetings and some of the picnics & dinners in Recovery. He was very active in helping other addicts and alcoholics in this area and was Well known & Respected. I'm Grateful I had the chance to know him. I will be Praying for his Family. 773-988-8658 my cell.
So glad to call you a friend, brother! May you be there in spirit for many more to come.
I knew 'Johny' Watson from primary school. The south of their farm was the north of ours, so we often played / fought/ worked together. His parents had the first tobacco farm in the area and that was very novel. John had the first geared bike in the area (three-speed) - and we other kids were jealous. We both had .22 rifles so would often go 'hunting' together. It must be 60+ years since I have seen John, as we had lost contact. I extend my sympathy to his family and friends. Bill
Now you have your wings John! from your good friend Sass!

We were so sorry to learn of John passing. He always had time for a visit, no matter the place or time. We had a nice visit at a funeral last summer, remembering the time his and my Mother ran tap dancing lessons at their home in east Colborne. My older sisters taught the dance and Johns sister Gail played the piano. He also always asked me which one of us was the oldest, John was by 3 days. We will miss John.
