Nora Camps - January 24, 2024

Roughly nine years ago Brian came to replace an appliance, it was a tricky install that took hours. We talked all through or maybe I should say Brian talked and I listened. Since then all of my appliances have been replaced and many more story sessions later, I learned about local history, had a tour of the general store with enough of a description that it came to life for me… stories about art, people, places. Brian invited mom and I to the last community hall dinner but sadly we couldn’t make it. Brian will be missed by me and by the community he served. Condolences to his family. There will never be another.

Cori Arthur - January 23, 2024

A very caring guy, many know of his community involvement however many will not know of the compassion he felt for someone or family whose finances were tight. A generous break on a service call or purchase of a replacement appliance he helped many people we will never know about. We has left a big hole in so many of our hearts. Nancy and Don

Tina Hartwick - January 11, 2024

Greg and Cathy Timlin - January 11, 2024

Dear Roger and Linda. Our deepest condolences to you and your families. He was such a huge part of the community and will be missed by many. In so many ways he touched the lives of so many people, whether it be through the thousands of softball games umpired, or how many countless appliances sold and serviced or the local community involvement. He was truly a great guy. I have fond memories of tobogganing on our hill behind your house ( a field we affectionately called the “store” field for obvious reasons and Brian was often there with a snowmobile to tow us back up the hill to save us walking. I had a good conversation last year about how he was the last one on the street from the original neighbors and how times had changed . He will be missed for sure but we all have such great thoughts and memories . Greg and Cathy Timlin.

Dear Roger, Linda, and the McIntosh family, What a surprise to read about Brian's passing. Brian was a wonderful person. He followed in his father's steps and continued the legacy of McIntosh's General Store with aplomb. He was a knowledgeable and trustworthy salesman. Whenever our paths crossed we would talk old times about when I boarded with Mrs. Ford in Camborne. I bumped into Brian at the Cobourg Public Library on occasion. He always had great stories and jokes to share. I will miss Brian's email jokes, as well. Cold Springs has lost an incredible gentleman. Sincere condolences to all.
