My sympathies to John's family. I had the good fortune of growing up in Unionville and of knowing John's great character. Over the years he kept me in the loop of what our old peers were up to, which I really appreciated. He was a true gentleman and will be missed dearly. Bob Maynard.

Chris Mew - January 5, 2024

John was a great neighbour in Unionville, a good friend and a guy who always kept track of our gang for those of us who moved away. I will miss our phone calls whereby I could always catch up on the news, good or bad, rest in peace old buddy, Chris

Sharon Rathbone - January 3, 2024

Laura, I was so very sorry to hear of John's passing. Thinking of you with sympathy. Take good care of yourself.

The Bartlett Family: Bruce, Pat and Ken. - January 1, 2024

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of John. He was a kind, generous, and thoughtful gentleman. He was thought of very highly by our parents Ross and Marion, as well. We remember his hard work and devotion to the fire department in Unionville, as well as his love of music and theatre and the Ice Show in Unionville. He was always willing to lend a hand. Also, in his youth, he delivered the local newspaper. Upon the passing of Ross and Marion, we found a Christmas card which he had once given to them as their newspaper boy, and they had saved it all those years. Our sincere condolences.

Margaret MacLaren - December 18, 2023

Laura and Alan, I just read about John passing on December 1st. I am so very sorry for your loss. We had some fun times as neighbours. I hope to see you at the celebration of life. Blessings to you both. Margaret.
