It is with heavy hearts the family of Dennis Harley announce his passing on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Campbellford Memorial Hospital. Dennis passed peacefully with his loving wife and sons by his side. He is the cherished and loved husband of 53 years to his wife, Laura (nee Taylor) and the was the exceptionally proud father to his sons Ron (Krista) and Jay (Steph). His grandchildren Evan, Maddie, Keira and Leah are going to miss their Papa dearly. It would be difficult to decipher if they loved their Papa more than their Papa loved them. Dennis is pre-deceased by his parents Gord and Peggy. As well as his siblings Mike and Kim. Dennis was the best husband, father, father in-law, Papa, son, brother, brother in-law, very special uncle and friend to anyone who met him. Dennis's affinity for helping others with anything they needed will not be forgotten. The unbelievably true adventures of Dennis will be told around campfires for years to come. His unique view of life, sense of humor, knowledge of all things (except how to spell knowledge!) and love of family will be missed and deeply cherished. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 12:00PM - 3:00PM at the Columbus Community Centre 232 Spencer Street East, Cobourg, ON. Dennis's family asks that in lieu of flowers, please consider donating blood if you can, or make a donation at www.blood.ca in memoriam of Dennis Harley.
