Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Friday, October 6th, 2023, Bruce “Brucie” Ellis at 74 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Valerie Ellis (nee Walsh). Son of the late John Ellis and the late June Scot Zinger. Brother of the late Robert Ellis. Father of Catherine Ellis van Buuren and Trisha Ellis, Grandfather of 7, Cousin, Uncle, Great Uncle, Brother-in-Law, and friend of so many more.
Bruce was the life of the party and enjoyed many hobbies including baseball, horseshoes, fishing, and football. He had a passion for sports, his eyes would light up with excitement whenever he talked about his Tiger-Cats. Bruce was a member of the Colborne Legion and supported veterans and their families. Bruce found joy in all the little things and touched the hearts of everyone he met. We take comfort in knowing that Bruce has been reunited with Val, whom he loved so dearly.
A celebration of life will be held with details to follow. Those wishing may make a memorial donation, please choose a charity of choice and your condolences are warmly received at www.MacCoubrey.com .

Sorry for your loss he was a great guy.
Bruce. Fella?. One of the first to welcome us into the neighborhood thirteen years ago and introduce himself and Val to us. We would chat as he sat on his front porch, he had plenty of advice on lawn maintenance, facetiously of course. Anytime Bruce was scootering in our direction one could not help but smile in anticipation of what he was going to say because he always stopped and left you laughing. Among many things we miss his ghostly Halloween drive-by. Rest well Friend. Mike and Tracy Carter.
