Peacefully at Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023, Donald Knights at 71 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Jane Knights (nee Peters). Cherished father of Sara Marshall (Gary) and Cheryl Discenza (Nicholas). Loving grandfather of Audrey, Grace, Violet and Felix. Dear brother of Carol Ingram (Gord) and Alan Knights (Erin). Predeceased by his parents Charles and Margaret Knights. Also missed by his nieces, nephews, and friends. A service will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Saturday, October 7th 2023 at 1 pm. Those wishing may make a memorial donation to the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation. The family would also like to invite family and friends to a reception at The Best Western 930 Burnham St., in Cobourg on Saturday October 7th, 2023 from 2 to 4:30 pm.
To Sara, Cheryl and your families. Please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of your father. We were privileged to know your parents (Jane & Don) when they lived in Winnipeg. I was fortunate to go to work everyday at National Trust with your dad. May the memories of both of your parents provide you comfort.

So sorry to hear that Mr. Knights has passed. Though I met him only once, my brother,Danny Prentice, spoke of him so often that I feel like he is an old friend. Danny has missed him a lot since he left the area. Rest peacefully in paradise Mr. Knights. Condolences to all of his family

Dear Sara, Gary, Audrey and Grace, Dear Cheryl Nicholas,Violet and Felix, Mike and I were so sad to hear of Don's death. We very much enjoyed being close neighbours in Cobourg. Don was a delightful man . He always seemed cheerful and ready to help. I know Mike really appreciated his devotion to the soccer club and his sense of humour when chatting over the fence between our two houses. We really misseed you all when you moved away. Don was always extremely proud of his family. Our deepest sympathy to you all. Fondly, Faith and Michael.

Don was kindest and most sincere man with the biggest smile and joyful laugh. Don always welcomed all of Cheryl's friends into his home with open arms. He supported Cheryl and her fellow soccer players, cheering them on during every game. I have very fond memories of bonfires at the farm when Don would join us. Our thoughts are with your family during this difficult time.
