Peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Baxter. Loving mother of Dennis (Kim), Janice (Dan) Bradshaw, Cary (Tammy) and Ian. Cherished grandmother of Douglas (Cassie), Kathleen, Grace (Connor), Josh, Melissa (Steve), Craig (Ashley), Jessica (Peter), Riley (Korey), Lisa and great-grandmother of Jackson, Naomi, Kaleigh, Everett, Jasper, Charlotte, Caiden and Caleb. Dear sister of the late Bernice (the late Cam) Masters, the late Lavigne (Ron) Willis and the late Stan (the late Shirley) Parker. Joy will be missed by many nieces and nephews. A service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, Cobourg. Interment at Cobourg Union Cemetery to follow. Following the graveside service everyone is invited back to the MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre for a celebration of Joy's life and a reception. The family would like to thank the staff at Northumberland Hills Hospital for their care throughout the years. Donations to the MS Canada and Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

I know Joy as an excellent mother in law to my brother for over 45 years and my niece and nephew adored her! I wish I had known her more personally and she rests in peace.
