Tracy, so sorry to hear about the passing of your husband John. My thoughts are with you. Liz Muir
Dear Harrison Family, We are so sorry to hear of John’s passing. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Deepest condolences on behalf of our family to yours. Mr. Harrison has left a lasting impression on the children of BPS. When I shared the news of his passing with our 5-year old daughter she was quite moved. She lovingly referred to Mr. Harrison as the tallest man in her school who always helped to dislodge and free kid’s toys from trees, etc. in the school yard. As parents we fondly remember his friendly “Hello” in the hallway and his smile. It was obvious that Mr. Harrison took pride in his work, that he loved the school, his colleagues and most of all the children. He will be dearly missed.

We're so sorry to hear of his passing. Our thoughts are with you and your family Tracy. Take care.
Heartfelt condolences to John’s family, friends. and colleagues. All of these tributes are so moving and bring back many fond memories of Big John. I worked with John at Beatrice Strong. Along with Craig Newton we sure had a lot of fun at school and through many hockey drafts. John always lit up a room wherever he was with his contagious laughter. His only weakness in a draft was his Leaf loyalty. Dean Flay pretty much covered it with the “Legend” who touched everyone he met in such a memorable positive way!
Tracy, Brooke, Cody, and Alicia, we were so saddened to hear of Johns passing, what an incredible loss. Our thoughts are with you all during this most difficult time.
When I taught Cody and Brooke in Kindergarten, it was clear John was a caring, involved parent. When I went back to Baltimore School as a volunteer, he was always so friendly. He will be missed. My condolences to Tracey, Cody and Brooke.
Sending our deepest condolences to Tracy, Brooke, Cody and Alicia. John was such a kind, friendly and caring person. He will be greatly missed.
Tracy, Cody, Brooke and Alicia, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. He was one of the good ones, I got to know John during my year at Baltimore, there was no one better to talk to, laugh with, and play tricks with, when they say he was like a dad to the staff at Baltimore, he really was, but more than that he was a friend. He was always so proud of his family, and all your accomplishments. Baltimore public school will never be the same with out him, but his memory will live on.

I'm sorry for you loss. I worked with John for a year, and getting to know him was one of the highlights of the job. It's rare to meet someone who brings so much joy to what they do. Rest in peace.
Words are so hard to find in times like these. I did not know John for very long, but I am so grateful for the time we did have. In the short amount of time I got to know John I just knew what an incredible person he was and the exact reason why he was the heart of the school. His laughter filled the hallways and his smile lit up the room. John, I will miss the antics we just started to get into, but most of all I will miss those laughs. Thank you for making me feel so welcomed my first few days, you will always be a beautiful soul that I will truly never forget. To your wonderful family who you were so proud of, just know that we are holding you all in our hearts.
So sorry to hear of John's passing, our condolences to all of the family at this sad time.

I am so very sorry about the loss of an amazing gentleman, whom I was honoured to call a colleague and friend. John was always a reassuring smile at the end of a sometimes very long day during my years at Dale Road. Our chats about life and what is important is something I will always remember. He loved his family fiercely, and I know he will forever be in your hearts. My sincere condolences.
Many thoughts and prayers for Tracy, Cody, Brooke, and family. Nathan and I remember John as a friendly face and staff member at Dale Road School. I always greeted him when walking through the hallway and he'd ask me how my day was going, showing genuine interest in our conversation. Such a kind, gentle soul. Dear Tracy, Cody & Brooke, we are very shocked and sad to hear of John’s passing. Our hearts are broken for you all, hang onto all the wonderful memories, may they help you get through this difficult time. John was so very friendly, always a smile on his face, happy go lucky, we are thankful for the memories of you all, meeting through baseball/hockey with the kids. John will be greatly missed, sending our love.
John was a family man through and through. There wasn’t a day that passed that he didn’t talk about Tracey, Brooke, and Cody. He wouldn’t hesitate to remind me, even when life gets busy, to make sure we sit down and eat as a family every single day. He said that time is invaluable and it goes so fast. He knew the value of family and the fleeting of time. Every morning John greeted every single student in our school at the doorway of his office. He knew kids hobbies and their families. He would ask them about their dogs and their hockey practices. Mr. Harrison is undeniably going to be missed every single day at Baltimore Public School. John is an incredible man and he will be so deeply missed by our community. We are wrapping love and thoughts around his family at this time.
Tracy, Cody and Brooke, Ron and I wish to extend our Condolences to your family. His passing was so sudden, we are in shock as we just saw you 1 week ago. May you find peace in all your memories of a wonderful husband and Dad and a friend of many.
I am so sorry for your loss, Cody, Alicia, and family. I have heard the most amazing things about John. I am thinking of you. I hope you find comfort in your memories and in each other. Sending so much love.
Sending condolences to John's family. He was a kind and caring soul who always had a smile in his face. I always enjoyed talking to him whenever I was at Baltimore PS for work. He was absolutely amazing with the students.
John was always a smiling face when I was at the school with my daughter. He will be greatly missed by all ! Oxo sending all my love and strength in these hard times !
Our kids attend Baltimore public school. Our kids knew they could count on Mr Harrison to help them with anything they needed. He always greeted everyone with a Hello and a smile. Baltimore p.s won't be the same without him. We would like to send our sincere condolences to his family as well as his Baltimore family. Thinking of you all during this difficult time

Dear, Tracy, Cody, Alicia and Brooke. Please accept my deepest condolences. I met John in 2012 when we were both employed to work at Baltimore P. S. Over the years, it became extremely evident that John was the heart of the school. He went above and beyond in many aspects of his job. He was always someone you could count on for big or small jobs, great conversations and laughs, an open ear, a genuine smile, an honest opinion, a friendly favour but most importantly a daily “Good morning”. He started my days at work on a positive note and I’ll never forget all the memorable moments we shared. Please know that he will be greatly missed and the halls of Baltimore will never be the same. Heavenly cheers John!

I know he is with us in spirit and loving us while we are in pain from losing him. Life will be so hard without him but we will try and move on. We will always be with the 4 of you. Never doubt that. We are here and love you always. ❤️

Tracy, Brooke, Cody and Alicia, my deepest condolences to all of you and your extended family. I have worked with John at Baltimore Public School since he came here in 2012. He was not just a colleague, but a close friend. John had a gift of making people feel at ease, and he did that from the start with me, as it takes me longer to get to know people. He was not only a great talker, but a great listener. I loved hearing all about his family, his love of animals and the outdoors, all of the amazing things that he has built in his free time and his active social life outside of work. As mentioned by many others, John would never hesitate to help anyone in need. Every day he went above and beyond for our staff and students, as well as members of the community. I am deeply saddened by the loss of my friend, I'll miss our morning chats and laughter. I hope it brings comfort to the family knowing how important John was to so many people, and how many lives he has touched.
My sincerest condolences in your loss. A fine person gone too soon. Prayers!

Dear, Tracy,Cody,Alicia and Brooke, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. John was an incredible man that touched so many lives. I started working at Baltimore the same year he did. I began everyday for the last 12 years by saying good morning to him. I learned about all of you and how proud he was. Brooke, when I talked about exercising he bragged that you got up every morning at 4:30 to go to the gym. Cody, he was so excited for your new adventures living in the mountains and I heard all about Alicia’s new career. He was so proud of all you. There is a hole in our school now that is felt by everyone there. He was truly the heart of Baltimore Public School and we will miss him immensely.

Tracy, Brooke and Cody, my heart is in pieces for all of you. I was so fortunate to have been close friends in and of school at Baltimore with John for the last 12 years. I want you to know he talked about you all at least a couple of times a day each and every. All of you were his first and only priority in his short life. John is the greatest man to set foot on earth. John also went way above and beyond for everyone. It didn't matter who you were he would help you with anything you need. John would go from changing flat tires for staff in the middle of winter and even help his colleagues with plumbing problems or hang a door for them. This Legend never stopped from coming back or staying late at school to ensure events ran smoothly. John would immediately take care of any requests for staff because he told me, if you don't do it right away you could forget. John always did everything to make everyone happy. From building set props for school plays to being the best chef at our school barbecues to building a canoe with junior age students. There is nothing that was beyond limits for this Legend. The finished canoes hangs in our front foyer as a reminder of John and how awesome he is. John also had plans to build a second canoe this year with the kids. John was also like a father to all staff. As our gracious current principal, Renee Cameron and former principal and friend John Goheen often say. Any problems or issues any staff encountered, John was always there for sound advice and support as well. These are only a small part of all the things this Legend continued to do for over 30 years with our school board. I hope we can develop a Above and Beyond annual award for John at our school as a small token in respect for the greatest person and friend I have ever met and ever will meet in my life. Our focus now is on John and his family, to stay strong for them always. It's what he wants and we'll continue to honour him by doing so. John will never, ever be forgotten. To keep John proud of us, please do something kind to help someone. My love goes out to his family and always will. I will forever miss you my friend and it's truly an honour to have you as a friend John. You are a true Legend and my hero. Rest easy Big Man we got this for you!
