For our beloved brother in law Fred …how can we find words to let you know how much you meant to us. Steady Freddie…we did not ever call you that, however, it is a ‘fitting’ word to describe you….always there, always kind, and knowing….we called on you so many times. You left so suddenly we hardly had a chance to blink…it was between you and Jesus so we will accept it eventually. For now we’re crying, we’re missing you so much ….hoping you will shine your quiet gentle light on us when we reach for you and your not there. Know that we will be looking out for “all” of your loved ones day or night.

Cheryl and I are so very sorry to the Sills family for your loss. Fred was a great co-worker and probably my number 1 favourite car pool buddy. Our neighborhood lost a very nice man! A family lost a great Dad a great Husband and a great Grandfather! Fred was like the Mayor of our street always looking out for us all! His lawns and gardens were pristine and he took a lot of pride in all he built! Why now you say we don’t have those answers! I can’t imagine the pain his family is feeling but they know one thing they have a lot of people there for them because Fred was a kind gentle soul who liked everyone ! If you liked the Leafs or Cougers you certainly were in his wheelhouse for sports! Now at night as we walk our dog the candle in his window glows brightly but his memory and hockey talks will last forever!! May prayers be with your family and may you rest in peace! I am so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He was an an amazing supervisor and even a better person and friend. I worked in the TRF from 2009 until I retired in 2018 with Fred being my supervisor the entire time. Makes me wish I had of went over there much earlier! I don't think many get to experience what us TRFr's did. Yes, Fred was our boss, but he was also our friend who cared about us, which I don't believe happens too often. You will be missed greatly. I am sadden by the news of Fred passing. I would walk by your home daily and he would be outside puttering and ensuring the lawn, gardens, and the rest of the house looked immaculate. I will miss our short conversations and his smiling face. Thinking of all of you during this time of sadness.
