Dear Ruby and family, My sincerest condolences to you all. I remember Gino's laugh, caring nature, interest in our lives, and close friendship with our parents, Dick and Joyce Robinson. New Years eve and day was reserved for them, with cabbage rolls and red eye (tomato juice/beer) brunch drinks. Listening to them dancing and laughing year after year was priceless. He will be remembered warmly by myself and family. Rest in peace Gino.
My condolences to the Tomaso family on Gino’s passing. He, Ruby, Jack and Sue McDonald and my parents Dick and Joyce Robinson loudly celebrating New Year’s Eve downstairs while we pretended to sleep upstairs will always be a warm memory. Gino’s genuine interest in us kids, his non stop humour, his dedication to his community and the entertaining banter between him and Ruby will be how I will remember a man I was blessed to call my godfather. Rest in peace Gino Tomaso.
My deepest sympathies to you Steve and Barb on the passing of Gino, I know the times that I did spend with him and Ruby were very special. I’m so sorry about his loss, hugs to all Love Christina (your home help worker)
Our sympathy to the Tomaso family. We were part of the Burnham Street people and my husband helped Gino carry his new hot tub into the house many years ago. Always such a people person.
Mrs. Tomaso, Steve, Alan and Brian. So sorry to hear of your loss of Mr. Tomaso. He was a great neighbour all those years on Burnham Street. Everyone knew your parents either from sports or from their business of Denton's. My thoughts are with you all at this time.
Steve, Brian and Big Al, sorry to hear about your dad but he sure had a good run at it. There must have been an arrangement with the High Schools because myself and so many others got to do a job experience trial run at the Florist. You've been lucky fellas to have such great parents.
On behalf of our family, sincere condolences on the loss of this incredible man. We grew up at King St W and Burnham St. and our family worked at Dentons over the years. It was great to reconnect with Gino in later years as he brought his travelling road show of floral supplies to Belleville. What a surprise to hear the bell at the store ring and I said "are you Gino Tomaso" and he said yes, and I recognize you from your family in Cobourg. What a happy reunion. Great memories of a wonderful family.

To Ruby, Steve, Al, Brian and families, Burnham Street south will not be the same without Gino. He and your family were a huge part of our family for decades. Endless hours playing on the street or on Turpin's farm, our parents at each others houses on Saturday night for the hockey game, Ruby leading the discussions. Our many summers shared at cottages. All so wonderfully remembered and enhanced by Gino's presence; kind, tolerant, positive and generous to everyone. He set an example for all who knew him. Thinking of you all, always, Florence

It was a special time when Uncle Gino, Aunt Ruby and our cousins would visit us in Belleville. He always had time to talk with us kids and make us laugh. It was great to keep in touch with him over the years and golf with him when he was well into his eighties. His devotion to Aunt Ruby and his whole family was amazing. We will miss him. Love from, Mike, Bonnie, Alana and Eric Thibaudeau
Uncle Gino served his country and his family well and with pride. Gino would always make us laugh when he, Aunt Ruby and the boys would visit us in Belleville…. we were all impressionable kids then and Gino left us with a wonderful sense of humour. Gino, Mr. Tomaso to me, for my first 20 years or so, was my Dad's best friend. Our families, spent many decades together on weekends, holidays, vacations and all those times that mark our lives.
