It is with great sadness that the family of Jack Dowle announce his sudden passing on September 1st 2023 at Toronto General Hospital in his 82nd year.
Jack was the beloved husband of Terri of 53 years. Loving father of Jack (Dawn), Gary (Erin), and Lesley. Very proud “Pa” to Andrew, Trent, Raya and Hayden. Jack will also be dearly remembered by Jordan and Lilyan. Predeceased by his sister Marie (Geof) Gage, his brother Scotty (Mary) Dowle, sister-in-law Mary (Jim) Jubenville. Uncle to Scott Dowle, Lori Dowle, Glen Dowle and the late Ian Dowle, Christine Clarke (Chris), Christelle Jubenville (Dylan). Great Uncle to Carter, the late Makayla and Cameron Clarke.
Jack was a sports enthusiast, which was reflected in his dedication to coaching local sports teams. Jack was also an active member of the Cobourg Legion where he enjoyed playing cards and socializing.
As per Jacks wishes, cremation has taken place and in the future there will be a private service at St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133.

You all continue to be in my thoughts and my prayers...I will always hold on to the great family memories...I loved how Jack was always singing or humming a tune, I loved hearing his adventurous stories, our long road trips to Rama, how he was always there if you needed him, and how he has supported Hayden and being there watching his hockey games. Gary, Jack, Lesley, and Mama Dowle. Many a night at Pad 2 with Jack senior behind the bench. The long drives to games. Watching games at your house with your dad. I still remember 93,ot, Leafs and Red Wings game 7 in your living room. My deepest condolences to you your family. Your dad was truly one of the good guys. He will be missed.
Lesley, I am saddened to hear about your dad's death. Your father was one of the kindest people I ever met, and I was lucky to get to know him in our basement conversations. Looking at these bbq photos of him on Jarrett’s phone pigging out on steak and lobster brings back great memories. Loved cooking for him and love you!
