Merilyn was my Godmother and I'm sorry to here of her passing, but I will always remember the Boxing Day gatherings she and Stan hosted for years. RIP Merilyn. Mike Beard
My heart is broken even though I have such wonderful memories. I was a flower girl at Merilyn and Stan's wedding and she was my dad's favourite cousin and my brother's godmother. So many laughs and special times over the years. Rest peacefully beautiful lady. Lots of love.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your mom . Will always remember the good times we had on the island .
I had the good fortune of speaking to Auntie Mare the day before she passed this world. I live in Vancouver, so our visits were mainly by phone; our favourite topics were current events and the complexity of relationships. We shared remembrances of Mexico City; her visit was when she was in her early twenties, mine more recently. The culture and customs of the Mexican people left a lifelong impression. She was easy to talk to as she was genuinely interested in the person she was with. She spoke glowingly of Uncle Stan, Jeff and Suzanne. Her grandchildren were a constant source of pride and joy. Auntie Mare was a cultured and elegant woman: she was one of a kind, a great human, and I will miss her. Love Donna
The best aunt 2 sisters could have. Her and Stans door was always open and food on the table.A generation gone but her example will always be remembered. Ill miss you aunty Mare.
