It is with saddened and heavy hearts that Andy heard his chime from the wind and angels above. His final days were spent surrounded by family in the beautiful serene nature of Ed's House. Andy was a long time employee of Dominion stores. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed all sports. Coaching his daughters throughout their adolescent years will be a memory they will always cherish. Family and friends will remember him for his humor, always having a joke to share, a smile on his face and his distinct whistle while working. Andy is survived by his wife Donna of 58 years. His daughters Sheryl Grills (John Davey), Sonja Patel (Biren). His grandchildren Tijhan, Jairam, Faryn (Jordan), and Randy (Rhonda). As well as 4 great grandchildren Brantley, Kasen, Pheenix and Blakelee. He will greatly be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him. Special thank you to the caregivers at Palisade Gardens, Ed's House, Dr. Lebbe and Dr. Essak. In lieu of flowers donations to Ed's House Northumberland Hospice or the Alzhiemer Society would greatly be appreciated.
Sorry for your loss. He was a great person

Andy was one of my first baseball coaches when I was young. He was a great coach and made me love the game. Deepest sympathies for your loss.
A long illness suffered through with family as well. I too just lost my mom and now we must reinvent ourselves from caregivers while we also grieve the major loss of a parent and spouse. While we know with aging the time will come it hits hard when we can’t call “Dad” anymore. The wife of 58 years of love and caregiving so very lost now alone. Thoughts are with you all.
I fondly remember Andy when I was a kid working part time at Dominion. He was a lot of fun and treated us great. I remember my Dad speaking highly of Andy as well. Condolences to the entire family
