John Phillips

December 13, 1931 - July 15, 2023

Passed away at the age of 91 at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. Beloved husband of Marguerite (nee Whiten) for over 65 years. Father of Tamara (Guy) and Greg (Heather). Grandfather of Michelle (Nolan), Hayden, Oliver, Sarah and Ethan. Great-grandfather of Harlan. Brother of the late Marion Brown.

Born in Ottawa and raised in Carleton Place, John was a mechanic at the Ministry of Transportation in Port Hope for many years. After residing in Port Hope for over a decade, he settled in Baltimore with his family in 1971.

John was active even at the age of 91. He enjoyed watching NHL games and spending time caring for his yard. He was a longtime member of the Lakeshore Waves Modern Square Dance Club.

John has been cremated and a private family gathering will take place.

Thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Michael's Hospital for their care.

He will be greatly missed.

John has been a very good friend for many years, we will miss him every day. Have known marg and john for some 55 years. Our condolences to Marg ,Tammy ,Greg and grandchildren .
