Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Wednesday July 12th in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Phyllis Coyle (nee Vansickle). Loving father of Daniel (Joanne) and Tom (Wendy Vincent). Cherished grandfather of Jeff, Clint, Mitchell, Spencer (Melissa), Valerie (Callaghan), Tristan (Frankie), Sara, Adam (Nataly), Josh (Kate) and great grandfather of Colt and Hazel. Dear brother of Mary Harrison (Marvin), Hank (Lynda), Ed (Marie) and the late Bill, Audrey and Walt. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a celebration of life visiting in the MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre on Tuesday July 18th from 12 noon – 2 pm. If desired donations may be made to Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.

Ken and I were so very sorry to read of John's passing. We remember many hockey games of the Cobourg All Stars at which John and Phyllis would arrive together, watch the game at separate ends of the arena, and reunite on the way out after the game. I always enjoyed bumping into John and Phyllis around town and Legion Village. John always has a smile on his face with a good morning or a good afternoon. I remember John's wonderful wife handing out treats at certain times of the year for the kids.
