My mother and father and his mother and father were very good friends. We spent a lot of time with them of course this time goes on. Everybody goes wrong way but very sad to hear this, I remember the visits of Hazel and Mike and the boys

Sending my condolences to the family. Your Pioneer Point community is going to miss you!
Sally and family, on behalf of my brothers Bill and Jim we would like to send our heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. We were so saddened to learn of Bill’s passing. It was nice that we were able to connect when you visited here a few years back. I remember Bill fondly when I used to visit Aunt Hazel and Uncle Mike with mom many years ago. Although we were cousins a few years apart Bill and Michael were always good to us when we visited. I enjoyed corresponding with both you and Bill through Facebook and seeing pictures of your beautiful girls and grandsons. I viewed the funeral online and learned more about Bill through your special stories. It will be a long hard road ahead but you have each other to lean on and to draw strength from. Sending our love and support. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love Nancie, Bill and Michael Learie

For a long time, I have felt so fortunate to be an honourary member of the Nishi-Nug family. Towards the end of this past Victoria Day weekend, after another fantastic time at Buckhorn Lake, I was getting ready to leave when my dog leapt up and his leash caught and quite badly cut my arm. I will not ever forget Bill calmly locating the first aid kit, and, so gently, patching me up. When I told Sal that Bill had taken care of things she said, "Yep, Bill's really good at that." I think I will probably have a scar from my rambunctious dog, but it will be a scar that I will treasure, along with my many, many good memories of Bill.

We are deeply sorry to hear of your loss. Bill was a patient at Physiomed Kennedy Inc for almost 20 years. Dr. Bringleson and Bill developed a unique patient/practitioner friendship that involved keeping Bill active as a hockey player and maintaining him overall health in check. Even on painful days Bill would never miss a smile and a chance to check in on how we were also doing. He believed in the health industry and we were pleased to help him as a patient. Thank you Bill for trusting us with your health! Sally, our deepest condolences to you. Lyndsay our hearts are with you and your whole family. Our prayers are with you.

Bill was a kind, wonderful man. He not only welcomed us into his home, he welcomed us into his family with open arms. He made us feel like we truly belonged, sharing special occasions and making long lasting happy memories with us. He had a great smile, gentle voice and warm laugh. When he was speaking to you, you had his full attention. He let you know how important you were to him. His love for Sally, Lyndsay and Melissa and their husbands, Tony and Brad was unending. He adored and treasured his grandchildren, Coleton and Blake. His love for his family was all encompassing. We feel privileged that we shared so many terrific times with him and we will always remember his quiet smile. We will deeply miss him.
Sally, so sorry for your loss. As Ron stated, we were always together during our high school years and after. He was a great guy who was honest, sincere and a true friend to all. He will be sadly missed.
Bill and Mike spent many happy hours coaching the girls and womens soccer teams in Uxbridge. Mike also spent time coaching minor hockey and yelling at Bill, the ref, for his bad calls(according to Mike). Lyndsay and Melissa were often around our family at home and at the cottage. To Sally and the whole family, we are with you.
Please accept my warmest condolences. I am very sorry for your loss. I have the fondest of memories of several yearly trips to Bissell’s hideaway where we shared laughs chasing our kids around the pool, followed by a drink or two by the campfire. We shared life stories and many of those memories are cherished. I enjoyed golfing with Billy in the Metro Toronto golf tournaments, where the food, drinks and laughs were plentiful. There are no words to describe this loss. I am so sorry, I am thinking of you all.
Sally, I am so very sorry for you and your family’s loss. Bill was such a wonderful husband and father. Everyone speaks so highly of him. Thinking of you at this time. Betty

Sally, Lindsay & Melissa, We have such fond memories of Bill and you 3 Ladies at so many Flanagan/Nishikawa gatherings over the years. Bill was usually with the men, watching any sport on TV, often with a gaggle of kids on the floor, horsing around! Bill always took the time to say hello and he had a quiet gentleness and kindness about him. His love and pride for you 3 Ladies was always evident. You are all in thoughts and prayers.
Sally, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time. Take care.
Dear Sally, so very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I will never forget the summer when you invited us to the trailer at Buckhorn Lake. Phil and I had a fun time, especially on the boat ride and seeing how happy Bill was in the driver's seat. I will keep you and the family in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
My deepest condolences Sally to you and your entire family. My fond thoughts of Bill was as a mentor and a good friend to me when I was a young Copper at 55, fresh off the boat from Nova Scotia. Including countless good laughs, visits to your home in Uxbridge, and quick trips into 54 Div. (East York) to visit his old childhood stomping grounds. Bill was a good man and he will be greatly missed….
Sally sorry to hear of your loss. For five years during junior high and high school Bill, Dana Davidson and I were inseparable. Fund memories of going to Argo games withe the three of us and George Mcquay. Last time I saw Bill he was referring my son’s hockey game in Stouffville. Sad that we lost touch but Sheila and I send our sincere condolences.
My deepest condolences from my wife and I to Sally and all of his family and friends. Billy and I joined The Toronto Police Service together and went to Aylmer together. After I moved to Stouffville he and Sally also moved to Stouffville but the moved on to another home. He was a gentleman and very good friend and he never had anything bad to say about anyone. A fine man of great character that will be missed by all of his family and friends. I salute you Billy, rest in peace our prayers are with your family at this time and will continue to be with them all.
I first met 'Billy' when we were in Mr. Clayton's grade 5 class at Secord Public School, in Toronto. Needless to say we sort of got into trouble together, but managed to pass to the next grade. We then met up next on the ice rink, as Police Officers, against each other when he played hockey for 55 Division and I played hockey on 33, 54 Divisions, and ETF teams. We saw each other off and on throughout the Policing years. Then met up again after we retired in 2006 at Mill Run Golf Course in Uxbridge, and worked together as 'Starters'. In February 2010 we both went to the Olympics in British Columbia to be volunteer drivers for the athletes in Whistler. We then again met up in 2017, at Harvey Brooker Men's Management Weight Loss organization. Even though throughout the years, there were periods of time we did not connect with each other, Bill and I always knew how to start up a conversation from the last time we spoke. 'Billy', my old friend, you are already very sadly missed. I will never forget and love you as a friend and confidant. God Bless You.
I worked with Bill at 55 Div years ago. Bill was a gentleman and a good Officer. I am very sorry and hope good memories bring you all Peace 💜
