Kenneth Joseph Quinlin (Ken) passed away peacefully on June 20, 2023 at the age of 69, in his hometown surrounded by loved ones at Ed’s House. His battle with serious medical issues in recent days showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and dignity. Despite the pain, Ken came out a hero and stayed strong until the very end.
As a child, Ken spent his youth with his brothers David & Rick and sisters Brenda (Larry), Diane, & Rosie (Gary) in Burnley. Predeceased by his loving parents Marjorie and Joseph Quinlin.
This place held a special place in his heart.
Ken with three treasured children, Joseph (Nena), Chris (Crystal) and Cherissa (Gavin). He was a dedicated ‘Grump’ to ten grandchildren Jacob, Madison, Bria, Gavin, Brooke, Braelyn, Westin, Baileigh, CJ, Aria and two great grandchildren Dominik and Fraya. He was so proud of the family he was responsible for.
Ken will be greatly missed by his immediate and multiple extended family members.
He loved a good football game cheering on the Jets with his boy Leroy (man’s best friend), racing, cars, motorcycles, gardening, chilling in the garage with friends and family. He was sensual and loved to share discoveries to enlighten others. He was witty and fun to be around.
Ken will be honored with a short ash scattering ceremony where he will be with his brother Rick, followed by a small family gathering to celebrate his life at a later date.
Anyone wishing to make a donation on Ken’s behalf can do so to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice in Cobourg, ON.
