Peacefully at home on June 14 2023, Ken Thomas at age 73, after a brief illness. Ken was the youngest brother of the late Heather Blacklock of Lion's Head, Jim of Cobourg, the late Art of Havelock, and Joe of Cobourg. Ken lived all his life in the neighbourhood where he was born, right at the midpoint of the 20th Century. Licenced electrician and knowledgeable handyman, he worked for a local TV and appliance retailer, including installing satellite dish antennas and occasionally climbing broadcast towers to change light bulbs high above the ground. We are especially grateful for the help and support of Shelley and Ken Warrington and Carol and Jim Cameron during Ken's recent illness. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
We are very saddened to lose such a dear friend and our thoughts are with Ken’s family through this difficult time. Ken was such a kind hearted soul who would help anybody out and one of the most knowledgeable people when it came to putting his hand to whatever task was in front of him. We miss you more than you know and Sunday family dinners won’t be the same without you. You will forever be in our hearts, rest in peace Ken ❤️
Dalt and I are saddened to hear of Ken’s passing. He was a great friend, always there to help when you needed it. Ken wired our first house for us, as well as helped us insulate it - anything you needed he jumped in with both feet - he was a good man. Our sincere condolences to all that loved him. Rest in peace Ken.
