Patricia Rosemary McGregor

July 14, 1949 - June 7, 2023

It is with heavy hearts the family of Rosemary McGregor announce her passing at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital Wednesday, June 7th, 2023. Rosemary fought a brave and brief battle before passing away peacefully at the age of 73. She passed surrounded by those who meant the most to her in this world, her family. Rosemary is pre-deceased by her first love, her husband Bruce McGregor. After losing Bruce, Rosemary’s heart was able to once again open up to her second love, George Juranics. Although, grief once again took its toll on her when she lost George 7 years ago. It brings peace to Rosemary’s family knowing that she has once again been reunited with both Bruce and George. She is the loved sister to John (Valerie) Foote and Beverley (Ken) Minemoto. Cherished aunt, or better known as “Aunt Momo” to Lawrence (Tanya), Arron (Wendy) Marty (Lamanda) and Jennifer (Kenneth) and great-aunt to Sierra, Owen. Emily, Nolan, Ashlyn, and Dylan. Rosemary may not have had children of her own, but that didn’t matter. Her nieces and nephews might as well have been her own children with how much she loved them. Rosemary is pre-deceased by her parents Frank and Grace Foote. She will be deeply missed and continuously loved by her many cousins, friends and extended family.

Rosemary’s greatest passion was her sewing. She loved to make table runners, decorations and create unique and personalized clothing for her nieces and nephews. She loved spending time with her family, whether it was at the lake, on vacation, family dinners or in a cold hockey rink. She enjoyed inviting her friends to the trailer. The family wish to thank the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital for making Rosemary’s final days as comfortable and peaceful as possible.

A visitation will take place at MacCoubrey Funeral Home Monday, June 26, 2023 from 11:00 – 12:00 PM followed by a service at 12:00PM. Friends and family will then be welcomed to a reception at MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception lounge where you can continue to share stories, laugh, cry and remember such a special person as Rosemary. A private family burial will take place at Castleton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
