Peacefully and painlessly, surrounded by family, at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Sunday, May 28th, 2023, Nancy Watson (nee Duench) at 83 years of age. Beloved mother of Cindy Dawson (Michael), Brad Watson (Shannon), and Chris Watson. Cherished grandmother of Lucas Dawson (Tiffany Taylor), Rachel Dawson (Matt LeClerc), Jennifer Watson (Garrett Foster), David Watson, and great grandmother of Rylan, Jaxston, Octavia. Sister of the late Jack Duench and the late Jill Sharpe. Aunt of Paul, Perry, Pam, and Todd. Also missed by Brenda Watson and many friends. Cremation with a family gathering at a later date. Those wishing may make a memorial donation to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice, Northumberland Hills Hospital or Hope for Wildlife.
So sorry about the passing of Nancy. I worked at DuPont in Whitby and Ajax with Nancy. She was a lovely lady. We had lots of laughs together. When she finished her treatment and her hair was growing in again we went into a conference room and she pulled off her wig revealing her most beautiful new silver hair! She went through a lot with such grace. May she be in the best place in heaven!!!! Never forgotten.
We're saddened to learn of Nancy's passing. Although we did not worked very closely during our times at DuPont Ajax, Nancy was a valuable source of strength and encouragement to us when my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. Nancy was so caring and our journey with breast cancer would have been much tougher without her compassion. She was just a wonderful lady.

Thinking of all of Nancy's family at this difficult time. I will most definitely miss the cherished friend that I met more than 40 years ago. We spent many wonderful times travelling, gardening, walking, quilting and just talking. She went through a lot in this lifetime and she took it all in stride. She had a beautiful caring spirit. She is ' at peace' now and she will be deeply missed. My sincere condolences to all of Nancy's family.

I am saddened beyond words. Nancy was going through her battle with cancer when I was in Princess Margaret fighting my own fight. She would come up and visit me in my room, the only Dupont Employee that I wanted to see. She was truly a wonderful, genuine lady.........
