So sorry to read of Sylvia's passing. She spent a lot of time with my Grandma (her Aunt Rhoda) so have lots of memories of her at many of our family occasions. When I was older and lived east of Cobourg, she would come and visit. She so loved her cars (I think Syvlia and Uncle Elwood had a competition on who had the nicest convertible lol) and baseball, but family and friends were important to her as well. When she would visit Mom and Dad (Rich and Marie Evans), Dad would always tease her and we had so many laughs. You were a great person inside and out and will be deeply missed. RIP Syvlia...The Evans Family xo

This woman.. lived beside my grandparents Mary and Cecil Gill my entire life.. There are so many memories of her sitting in the car port for hours chatting away with Nan and Pop.. many Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners she joined our family. I remember seeing her down at the lake every night, after dinner parked where the condos are.. lol. Hard to believe we used to have a dirt road to park in that area. She LOVED to watch Ball games.. she would be the first one at the ball park and stay all day to watch the game.. young or old, she didn't care, she just loved the sport You are a long time peice of memories Sylvia.. Say hi to Nan and Pop for me. Rest in Paradise

Deepest condolences to Sylvia's family on your loss. Sylvia was a longtime neighbor to the Stevenson family n a friend to my mom Joyce. I remember Sylvia at my baseball n hockey games growing up. She would go for walks n have coffee with my mom . She had a kind n warm heart to go with her smile. The Black family 👪

My sincere condolences. Sylvia was a customer of mine, we had some good laughs together. She had a great talent for painting and knew how much I loved Christmas and made me some ornaments that I will always treasure.

To Sylvia’s Family: I am so sorry to hear this news. Sylvia and her father were our next-door neighbours on King St. W. for many years. We would enjoy the country music she played as she detailed her car which was always in ‘showroom condition’. She was a warm person with a quiet humour and chuckled at the antics of my brothers and I.

Coralee Dunk - May 18, 2023
