It is with great sadness that the Sullivan family announces that Peter died peacefully at Ed’s House Hospice, after a hard-fought battle with lymphoma on Saturday May 13th, 2023. Beloved husband of Lyne Sullivan (nee McLellan) for 35 years. Loving father to Sharon, Tracey (Dave) and Gary (Selena). Cherished grandfather of Kasandra (Chris), Kole, Jaslyne, Trevor (Michelle), Tyler (Cleo), Devon, Dion (Cindy) and Damon and great grandfather of Brogan, Deklynne, Treyton, Quinn, Emerie, Adrian, Victoria, Malik, Nima, Lincoln and Colton. Dear brother of Paul (Cathy), Don (Deanna) and brother-in-law of Patricia (Eugene), Kelly (Sue), Karen (Rick) and the late Gord (Rich). Pre-deceased by his parents Patrick and Alice (Betty). Lovingly remembered by his adopted family Chris and Dorothy Uens. Beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Peter was a gentle, loving family man who always had a great sense of humour. He always enjoyed his home and took great pride in the work that he did there and for others. He loved his family and friends and spending time with them was most important. Pete enjoyed his retirement immensely and made the most of this time to be with family, visit friends and pursue his hobbies. You could always count on him to help if you had a building project or home renovation to complete. Pete was very sentimental when it came to his grandchildren and treasured every little gift they made or bought for him. He will be missed dearly by all of us. Friends are invited to drop in at Tracey’s house (783 Beatty Cres., Cobourg) on Sunday May 21st from 1-3 pm. to celebrate Peter’s life. If desired, donations may be made to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice, Northumberland Humane Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Awwwww Pete, we had so many good times over the years. Lots of laughs when you visited us in the teepee 😂😂😂 in Kirkland Lake and Cape Breton. I will never forget at my Dads gathering when he was moving out west……you ordered a shrimp cocktail thinking it was a drink and when it arrived you looked at it in disgust and said hey the shrimp drank it all. I don’t know why but we could not stop hysterically laughing . You will always be remembered in my family with so much fondness and always a smile❤️❤️❤️rest in peace.
My family and I send our deepest condolences and pray for peace for all of you during this difficult time. I know you will comfort one another and Peter will be there in spirit smiling as you share your memories. I will always remember Peter as a kind man with a wonderful sense of humour.
