On Thursday, March 30th, 2023 at Hospice Peterborough, ON. Jim passed peacefully surrounded by his family. Beloved husband to Nancy (nee McComb). Loving father to Erica VanLuven, Cathy Prindible (Paul Godin) and Ian Prindible. Dear brother of Karen VanLuven and her sons, Jason and Kurt VanLuven and Family. Predeceased by his brother Bertram VanLuven. Cherished grandfather of Mitchell and grand girls Emilie and Hailie Prindible. In honouring Jim’s wishes, cremation has already taken place. Interment will be held at a later date at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Campbellford. Our family would like to thank the Peterborough Regional Hospital, Hospice Peterborough as well as our family and dear friends for all the flowers, cards and help. We really appreciate you. Our sadness and loss are felt deeply, we will never stop loving and missing Jim.
Jim and I worked closely together testing circuit cards a CGE. He made me a special screw driver for adjusting trimpots on those circuit cards. I cherish that driver and still have it today after he made it for me about 50 years ago. We enjoyed lunches together in a group playing cribbage. I lost track of him after he moved on from CGE but I've always respected his straight forwardness and clever ways. I'd love to speak with someone about how his life progressed.
