My sincere condolences to Irene and all of Ian’s family. I was fortunate to grow up across the road from Ian and his siblings. We spent many a happy hour playing together summer and winter. Ian and I are the same age and we had no end of fun, getting into a few capers for sure! Ian will be missed by many!
Warren and family. So sorry to hear of your brothers passing. May he rest in peace.
My condolences to Ian's family. I met Ian as I was a member of a sponsorship group at St Timothy's Anglican Church in Toronto. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of refugees who have come to this country in recent years who have never met nor perhaps even heard of Mr Ian McBride. But those refugees' journey to Canada was facilitated by Ian's tireless advocacy on behalf of refugees, training of refugee sponsors like myself and his leadership over many years at the Anglican United Refugee Alliance. Ian will be missed by all who knew him and by so many more who benefitted from his passion to support refugees. May he rest in peace.

Ian was a very active member of our small congregation, formerly of Thornciffe Park United and now as Chapel In the Park United. He was a fantastic story teller. We all ways like it when he gave the sermon. For the last few years with Covid He was unable to attend in person but was on Zoom all most every week. He helped pick the music for services and held weekly music periods on Zoom. He will be missed very much by all of us. May his soul now rest in piece.
