We were so sad to hear of Rod's death. Although we had not seen very much of him for the past few years there was a time when he regularly had dinner with us on New Year's Day. He was funny, irreverent and very proud of his Irish roots. Unconvenional and intelligent Rod was his own man. He was a sensitive doctor and cared well for his patients. We are glad to have known him. Safe journey, Rod.
I’m so sorry to hear of Dr Becks passing he was so good with Bob in the chemo journey he was a great Doctor
Sorry to hear of the passing of Doctor Beck. He was our neighbour and enjoyed our chats over the years during our encounters in the neighbourhood. He was a very learned gentleman. Our condolences Joe and Charlotte.
I talked to the Dr. every day at work and on the streets. What a great Dr. and a even better guy. You REST now Doctor....
Sad to hear of Rod's passing. He was a great guy. Had lots of laughs over the years with Rod. I first met him as a kid and spent many times with him and the Baltimore neighbours . My sincere condolences to his family.
To the Beck Family: Saddened to learn of Dr. Beck passing on, he was a great doctor and friend for many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
So sorry for your loss - I spent many years at the hospital enjoying Dr. Beck's intelligence, care and impish, wicked sense of humour.
Until we meet again Roddy…”somewhere sometime” I miss you dearly my friend xoxo
Lyn and Bill Ford send our condolences to Patricia, Colin, Alan and Rod’s extended family. I have many memories as Dr Beck’s secretary for 42 years until his retirement in 2016.
I felt so fortunate that Dr. Beck was my role model and mentor since 1978, whether it was in the ICU, 1st North or (daily from 1999-2006 ) in the chemo clinic. He not only demanded but expected the highest standard of care humanly possible and I wouldn’t have wanted any less. He made me a better Nurse Practitioner. He was respected by the nurses, medical staff and loved by his patients (many of who were in the fight of their lives) ! We will never forget him. All who have met him have a memory to treasure. My condolences to his family and friends.
I learned So much from this intelligent man. Dr. Beck helped me with my transition into working in the ICU. My condolences to his family and friends!
My condolences to all of Dr Becks family. My husband Dean and I enjoyed chatting with him at Hospital parties and get togethers. He was always a gentleman and had a great sense of humour.
