I remember Joan fondly from my time spent many years ago at my grandparents cottage at Crowe Bay, Campbellford. She was warm, kind and lots of fun. I have never forgotten how they welcomed us into their cottage. I am sure you will miss her very much.
My deepest condolences to you Royce and your family. My Dad, Rod, always told me stories of when he visited your home when he was a child and my Grandparents, Ted and Dwaine adored Joan ❤️ Cherish all the memories you have together! Much Love, Erinn (and family)

Uncle Royce, Doug, Jane, Mac and families: So many fond memories of Aunt Joan come to mind. Words, no matter how kind, will always fall short. Even though we cannot be together during this difficult time, we are holding you close in our hearts.

Royce, Doug, Jane and families: It was with much sadness that I learned of Joan's recent passing. She was a caring and fun person. I have many fond memories of often skiing with the McCrackens' and other Cobourg families at Mount Tremblant, Quebec. Joan never opted out from skiing any trail that was chosen. If I recall correctly, the Flying Mile trail was her favourite. Fun times. My caring thoughts are extended to your family at this difficult time. Kind regards, Don Bourne
Royce, we were so saddened to hear about Joan‘s passing. She was a good friend and support to our mom, Leila. We were thinking of our last visit with you both, at your house in Cobourg, and how we enjoyed Joan and the many Olson stories she shared with us. You have our deepest condolences, she will be missed.

With tears in our eyes, as we write this, it was first sad to hear about the news on Sunday from my brother, Jeff, who is married to Joan's daughter, Jane. Joan was such an amazing woman in every sense, so kind and loving just like Jane, she will be dearly missed. Our thoughts are with Royce and the family right now. It's never easy losing a loved one, but my brother and I have gone through this recently with the passing of our father. Time heals everything, but during this time we wish to express our sincere condolences. Rest in Peace Joan and "May you be in heaven a full half-hour before the devil knows you're dead" -Scotty, Sarah, Lexi & Chloe
To the family of Marjery Joan McCracken... I was saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. McCracken. While I cannot claim to have known her well, during my 35+ years in Cobourg, I came to know her husband Royce through the Rotary Club of Cobourg, and knew her son Doug lo these many decades ago when we were both much younger, and were active in Northumberland Players productions. Royce and Mrs. McCracken were very active in their community and made valuable contributions on many fronts. I trust you will have years of happy memories of your mother to comfort you during these difficult days.
