On February 17, 2023, at the Golden Plough Lodge, Bruce passed peacefully at the age of 75 with family at his side taking his final journey home. Cherished husband to his wife, Susan Goody (nee Vincent) for 44 years. Together, Bruce and Susan raised their children Stephanie and Sean (Laura). Bruce was the proud Papa to Samantha and grandpa to Connor and Quinn. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Rick (Diane), John (Mary), Ed (Debbie), and Alex (Christine). Pre-deceased by his parents Thomas and Irene Goody. Son in law to Patricia and the late, Donald Vincent. Brother-in-law to Stephen and Wendy (Tom). Bruce will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Bruce was a proud and hard-working letter carrier. In his travels he enjoyed meeting many different people. After 35 dedicated years he retired to spend his time with his greatest joy in life, which was his family. Bruce loved children and spent many years as a cubmaster to his cub pack. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all the staff at Northumberland Hills Hospital as well as the Golden Plough Lodge. Thank you for making Bruce’s final days as comfortable as possible. A celebration of life will take place Saturday, August 26th from 12pm - 3pm in the MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre, 30 King Street East, Cobourg.

Sue,Stephanie,Sean and the Goody family...Bruce retired slightly ahead of me and it was a great day when l would meet him on his morning walk as l was making my rounds...we always parted with a smile and an embrase. My sisters [the Cann family] and l often sat near the Goody family of boys in St. Peter's for Sunday service and Bruce and l reminised about our Mom's who had spent time at Trenton air force base together and later in life were in hospital at the same time and are now interred near each other. I will always think of Bruce with a smile and recall how proud he was of his family and how he loved to share an update on everyone You are all in my prayers...rest well my good friend
