Son of Wallace and Catherine (MacLean) both predeceased. Garth passed away peacefully at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice after a brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Gail (Turner), sons Darren (Teresa), Scott (Connie), Jeffrey (Sarah), brothers Dennis May (Marlene) and Brian May (Edie), 5 grandchildren, Jacqueline, Mackenzie, Stephanie, Jacob, Miles and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers Harvey May and Stanley May, and sister-in-law Georgette May. At Garth’s request a cremation will take place and there will not be any services. Interment will be held at a later date at Cobourg Union Cemetery. In memory of Garth, donations may be made to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre. A special thank you to Dr. Mulé and all the nurses and staff at Ed’s House for their exceptional compassion and care given to Garth and his family.

Very sorry to hear this, Uncle Garth was a good man and have nothing but good memories of him. He was like a beam of light always smiling and always in an upbeat mood when I would see him at dads. He would always say, Hey Steve and it always made me feel good. My sincerest sympathy to you Aunt Gail, Darren, Scott and Jeffery.
