Passed peacefully and gracefully at Regency Manor Long Term Care Home – Port Hope December 25, 2022, at the age of 89 surrounded in the love of her family. Joan is the beloved wife of 72 years to Harry Greer. Loved mother to Norman (Lynda) Greer, Marilyn (Robin) Barnes, Barry (Linda) Greer, Karen Greer and Lynn (Greg) Varga. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Amy, Andrew, Genny, Joanne, Alexandra, Natasha, Denver, Evan, Iantha, Liam and Aidan as well as her great-grandchildren Esme, Isla, Levi, Joni, Mable, Preston, Stella, Adrian, Ellia, Charlotte, Nora, Austin, Marigold, Ruby and Henry. Joan will be deeply missed by all family and friends. A visitation will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home Friday, December 30, 2022, from 11:00 – 1:00PM with a service at 1:00PM. Following the completion of the service, a burial will take place at Cobourg Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada.
Mrs Greer was always so nice to me when I was growing up on William Street Cobourg during the 1950's. I always had great respect for her.I express my most sincere condolences.
