Peacefully at the Golden Plough Lodge in Cobourg on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022, Murray Spry at 89 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Jean Spry (nee Ward). Dear father of Gary Spry (Karen), the late Debra Robison (the late Bob), and the late Cameron Spry. Cherished grandfather of Anson (Jessica), Brandon (Jessica), Jennifer (Aaron), Nancy (Payton), and great grandfather of Charlotte. Predeceased by his siblings Bertha, Norm, Clifford, Shirley, Robert Jr., Walter, Gordon, and survived by his sisters-in-law Bonnie and Jackie. Cremation with a Memorial Service to be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Wednesday, November 23rd at 2 pm with visitation for one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 pm on Wednesday. Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Members of the Independent Order of the Oddfellows and Rebekahs will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:45 pm for an Oddfellow’s Service to be held immediately prior to the Memorial Service. Later interment of cremated remains at the Heritage Cemetery of St. Peter. Those wishing may make a memorial donation to Golden Plough Lodge Resident’s Fund.

Murray was always smiling, and he had a great laugh...we sat at numerous bowling tournaments cheering and supporting the provincial teams and he was a terrific supporter with the youth teams...lot's of good memories with Murray, may he rest in peace.

Gary, Karen ,Anson , Brandon , Jennifer and Nancy so sorry to hear of the passing uncle Murray he was truly one of a kind. And certainly was always kind and thoughtful and always willing to help others. He has left many fond memories of times we shared as a family and will be forever be grateful how supportive he was of our family. There is peace in knowing he has rejoined Aunt Jean. Murray was a faithful member of St. Peter’s church and served as sidesman for many years. He always greeted me with a smile. He was such a gentleman
