Barbara Louise 'Barb' Guitard

March 28, 1951 - November 10, 2022

It is with heavy hearts the family of Barb Guitard (nee: Gillespie) announce her passing at the age of 71. Barb passed peacefully and gracefully Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the Golden Plough Lodge after a courageous battle. She will be profoundly missed by her children Patricia (Ken) Burneau and Ben (Liane Whittaker) Guitard. Loved grandma, or “Grandma B” to her grandchildren Nathan, Matthew, Ronin and Isabelle. Cherished sister to George, Bob, Mary, John, and Doug. Pre-deceased by her brother Dave. The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude and thanks to the staff of the Golden Plough Lodge, especially those in the MacMillan Garden for their care and compassion in Barb’s stay there. A visitation will take place at MacCoubrey Funeral Home Friday, November 18, 2022, from 10:00 – 12:00PM followed by a service at 12:00PM. The family would then like to invite friends and family to a reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Canada.

To Mary, Julius and Barb's family. Our deepest condolences for the loss of your sister Barb. We knew her as a quiet person, cared for her family and loved her cats.
