Peacefully at the Golden Plough Lodge on Sunday August 7th, 2022 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late George Mendes. Loving mother of Patricia Ryckman (Doug), Michael (Van), Peter (the late Janice) and Andrew (Jane). Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Dear sister of Denis Mathias (Jean), Norma Jacobs and sister-in-law of Cathy Mathias. Visitation will be held on Friday August 12th from 11:30 am – 1 pm.at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St., E., Cobourg, followed by a funeral mass at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Cobourg at 1:30 pm. If desired donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
I had the pleasure of working at the GPL while Clare was a resident. She was so kind and she always talked about her family and about how much she loved them. She was a very special lady and I truly valued the time I got to spend with her.
