Irene Isolde Parisius

February 4, 1932 - August 1, 2022

Today we announce the quiet and peaceful passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She joins the love of her life, Wolf Parisius. She is survived by 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Fondly known as Oma to all, happiness for her was being surrounded by family and those lucky enough to call her dear friend. She was content with life’s simple pleasures, such as reading a book, knitting, cooking and sharing a meal. She wrote daily letters which later turned into epic journal entries so that her in-laws in Germany were well informed about their grandchildren’s busy lives. She was so proud of her family and also blessed to be part of the Robin’s family, who so kindly and openly brought her into their home many years ago and loved her like their own. A huge thank you to the staff at Ed’s House, Cobourg, Ontario. She received wonderful and exceptional care in a beautiful place where she enjoyed the last several weeks of her life surrounded by family and friends. Also special thanks to Northumberland Hills Hospital, Community Care and the Paramedics who looked after Irene before her move to Ed’s House. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday August 20, 2022 at 1 pm. at the Robin’s Farm, Roseneath, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, Irene requested donations be made to Ed’s House, Cobourg, Ontario.
