Olive Edith Mae Dudley

April 12, 1923 - July 26, 2022

On July 26, 2022, Olive Edith Mae Dudley passed peacefully and gracefully in her 100th year. She passed surrounded in the love of her daughters Christine and Susan Dudley. We find peace in knowing that Olive is now with her husband Ralph. Pre-deceased by her son-in-law John McKechnie. The family of Olive would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to all the staff at Extendicare Cobourg, especially in Birch House for ensuring Olive’s comfort and care during her time there.
Olive worked as an office manager at the Toronto Credit Bureau. She was also a pianist, and played every Sunday at the King Edward Hotel for the Ladies' Breakfast Club.
Olive and Ralph spent their retirement at their winter home in Florida and their summer cottage in Haliburton.
As per Olive’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place on Sunday, August 14th, 2022 at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg from 2 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant House or a charity of your choice.

Another one of the "greatest generation" has passed. They lived through the Great Depression and World War II and were survivors of both. She was so full of life and I had the joy of visiting her and my uncle Ralph at their winter home. She will be missed.
