Is it with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Peter Kuzyk who passed peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at the age of 98. Peter is pre-deceased by his wife of 53 years, Jackie Kuzyk (nee: McConkey) as well as his daughter Susan Kuzyk. Loved father to Tom Kuzyk. Loved grandfather to Jayden Gill, and Jessica Gill. Pre-deceased by his grandson Jake Gill. Loved brother to Michael, Helen (Roy) Morton and June (Ed) Sobanski. Peter will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Many may know Peter as ‘Rambling Pete” from the Shelter Valley Boys Band. Peter had a passion for music. He played the violin and accordion. But his instrument of choice was the base guitar. He traveled all throughout Ontario playing his guitar. He even dabbled in some Polka dancing in his early years. As per Peter’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northumberland Hills Hospital – Palliative Care Unit.
I am leaving this condolence on behalf of my father, John Shreve. He is not sure if this is the right person but if Mr. Kuzyk worked at the Oshawa Public Utilities, then they worked together back in the day. If someone could get back to me and let me know if this is the correct person by e-mail, it would be greatly appreciated as my father would like to make a donation in his name. Thank you for you time and so sorry for your loss. Tanya Lancaster
