John Albert Clement

July 25, 1929 - July 23, 2022

Albert died peacefully at his home in Cobourg, Ontario, with his daughter Wendy at his side on Saturday, July 23,2022, two days short of his 93rd birthday.
He was the loving father of Wendy Murray of Toronto and Greg Clement of Pickering, and grandfather to Elizabeth and Stevan Clement (Calgary), and will always be the special “Pa” to Kyla Murray (Toronto). He also leaves his daughter-in-law Donna Clement (Calgary), niece Sharon Adamson (Toronto), and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Clement, eldest son David Clement, and sister Dorothy Adamson.
Albert was born to the late John Clement and Ester (Jenson) Clement on July 25, 1929 in Harley, Ontario. While a young boy, the family moved to northern Ontario and they lived on a farm outside of Matheson, Ontario, on the Black River.
He began his career in Timmins as an electrician. He moved to Iroquois Falls and eventually, with his wife and three children, moved to Island Falls where he became the Superintendent of an Abitibi Hydro Plant until he retired. With his wife Dorothy, he was an active member of the United Church of Canada in Smooth Rock Falls, Ontario.
Friends and family are invited to share their memories of Albert with his family at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St., E., Cobourg on Thursday July 28th from 1-3 pm., followed by a service at 3 pm.
The family sends a sincere thank you to Dr. Francesco Mule, and St. Elizabeth Healthcare for their wonderful support to both Albert and Wendy
If so desired, a memorial donation may be made to the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation.
Interment will be held at a later date at the Harley Cemetery near Burford, Ontario.

A real good guy. Albert was a year older than me. As a child I was often at his parents farm, when sister Dorothy went to high school in Iroquous Falls she would be at our house at least once a week. I really got to know him through his involvement with United Church in Smooth Rock Falls, as well as Dorothy and his friend Sam Colaezzi and we became friends. An honest sincere man and I am glad to know him. My condolences.
