Peacefully at his home in Cobourg on Wednesday, July 6th, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer, John Colson 85 years of age. Beloved husband of Veronica Colson (nee Todd). Loving father of Stephen Colson (Anecita). Cherished grandfather of Johnathan Colson (Stephanie) and great grandfather of Jayden. Born in Bexleyheath, Kent in wartime Britain, John emigrated to Canada with his family in 1967. He was at GE and AECL for most of his working life, becoming a specialist in his field. He was a prolific reader with a wealth of knowledge, particularly on English history. A man of wit and a great sense of humor, he will be sorely missed by his family and friends. A private graveside service was held at the Green Section of Cobourg Union Cemetery on Friday, July 8th, 2022.
