Karen passed unexpectedly in her home Monday, June 27th, 2022, at the age of 75. Pre-deceased by her husband Edward Usher. Karen is survived by her step-children Kerry Usher, Gregory (Diane Clarey), Cheryl (Nick Van Huizen) Usher, and James (Cathy Derry) Usher. She was the loved Grandmother to Lena, Steven, Mitchell, Bradley, Bailey, Jamie and Great-Grandmother to 7. Cherished sister to Deborah (William) McDonnell and sister-in-law to Renee. Pre-deceased by her brother Douglas McLaughlin. Karen will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. As per Karen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Grafton Ontario at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Karen when she was at ENSS. She was an incredible lady and will be missed by many.

To all of Karen's families, please accept my condolences on your loss of Karen. I worked with her for many years at ENSS, as well as, being a fellow Colbornite. Karen was the utmost of a professional head secretary always willing to listen to those under her. She was a very caring, giving individual. She was totally lost when she lost the love of her life Ed. May they reunite now and carry on.
