Mary Elizabeth Cove (nee: Smith) passed peacefully Tuesday, June 6, 2022, at Streamway Villa at the age of 102. Pre- deceased by her husband Bill Cove. She will be deeply missed by her children Douglas (Dawn) and Janet. Loved grandmother to Devyn and Austyn. Pre-deceased by her siblings Norman and Dorothy and her brother-in-law Roger. She will be missed by her sister-in-law Joan as well as her nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Streamway Villa staff family for the care and kindness they showed Mary in her time residing there. As per Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. Mary will be laid to rest along side her husband At Streetsville Memorial Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Streamway Villa – Cobourg or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Doug, Dawn, Janet and family. We are sad to hear of Mary’s passing. Having not seen her for so many years, it was a delight to reconnect with her at Streamway and share some old memories. She will be dancing once again with her beloved Bill, to whom I owe so much for advice and direction during my early career years. They were valued members of the Streetsville community. I will never forget her humour and I infectious smile. Hugs Mary, RIP.🙏🏻
Dear Doug and Dawn My heart is filled with sadness. Your mom was such a loving, caring, and beautiful woman inside and out. It was a pleasure knowing her and caring for her at the Villa. She brought joy and love to all of us. I will miss her laugh and her beautiful smile. She is now having a party in heaven with her loved ones. She will always be with you watching over you. Mary was a beautiful soul inside and out I had the pleasure of working at the long term care home she resided in she will be missed very much Rest In Peace mare bear
My sincere condolences to the family I will personally miss Mary she was such a delight and her smile made my day . She never complained about my cooking ok maybe once in a while lol . I do know this she will sadly missed by all the staff at streamway villa we all loved her .
Dear Doug & Dawn - Your Mom was a treasure & so well loved at the Villa - she was a pleasure to care for. Often people will say, they lived a good long life, my response always - "just more years to love them & miss them more" I loved her stories & her wisdom, she adored you Doug & was forever worried about you - you were a great son. Your Mom now, is with her beloved Bill, her siblings & so many friends that have gone before her & loved her deeply - there must be a great party happening above. Doug, Dawn and Janet. Was sorry to read of your mother’s passing. She was such a loving caring soul. Her last visit with my brother Doug last year was so heartfelt.
